General Educational Development ,also known as GED Test , is made of five subjects tests.To pass this test and to obtain a GED credential, you have to score more than 60 percent of the others nationwide students. There may be some jurisdictions which requirethat you have to pass some additional tests, for example, an English proficiency exam.
Those five subjects are:
1. Language Arts, Writing
2. Social Studies
3. Science
4. Language Arts, Reading
5. Mathematics
Those five tests are made to find out the knowledge and abilities that a student should have acquired after four years in the high school. One of the most important thing about the GED Test is that although the questions contains a specific area of study, such as science or language arts, you don’t really have to memorize the exact definitions; the main part of the information is given in the test itself. But you have to be capable to read and understand what the material is about, and then to answer the questions given.
All the questions of the GED Test are multiple choice, except for the essay, which you have to write it by yourself, to demonstrate your vocabulary and grammar abilities.
The test scores are between minimum 200 points and maximum 800 points.Anyway,in the most states,you have to reach aproximately 450 points to earn a diploma.
