The Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators, also known as the GACE tests series, are a group of exams made by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) and it is administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). The GACE Tests are made to find out if a student has the necessary skills to be an educator.
Those exams evaluates the general abilities for teaching that a student may have, and which, obviously are required if you want to earn a certificate. The GACE includes a variety of exams related to different subjects and domains, related to educators,of course. However, those exams may also have some tests which are not related at all with being an educator. Some of the areas of the GACE may be dance, music, computer science, chemistry, English, health, history, journalism, mathematics, etc.
Every single GACE test is maed of key questions, between 90 – 150, but anyway, some of the tests can include essays. The student is going to have five hours to finish the exam. The score is calculated on a scale of 100 – 300 points, and you have to reach minimum 240 to pass the exam.
If you want to register for the GACE exam, you must have an approbation that you had finished a special program for educators.
You can register for the GACE Exam in several ways. You can register online, by checking their website and completing a form, by phone, or by mail. Or course,you have to pay all the taxes needed.
